Who I am

Katbaker is a home-based cake business run by Kat in Cape Town. I'm the responsible party for any personal information you share with me.

What this website collects

Nothing is stored by this website. The order form runs in your browser: when you press "Preview my message", it simply puts your answers together into a WhatsApp message. Nothing reaches me until you choose to send that message in WhatsApp.

The site doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. It may use cookie-free visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which count visits without identifying you.

What I receive when you order

When you send your order on WhatsApp, I receive what you typed (your name, what you'd like, the date, delivery area and any notes or photos) plus your WhatsApp number and profile.

How I use it

Only to quote, make and deliver your order, and to chat to you about it. I don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

WhatsApp is run by Meta, so messages are also covered byWhatsApp's privacy policy.

How long I keep it

Only as long as I need it for your order and my business records. You can ask me to delete our chat details at any time.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask to see the information I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Justmessage me on WhatsApp.
